Intent
All children will be provided with a high quality education in languages which in turn develops their love of learning about other languages and cultures. They will have the opportunity to understand and respond to the spoken and written French language from authentic sources and through this they will speak and understand French with increasing confidence, fluency and spontaneity.
Language Angels
We use the 'Language Angels' scheme to teach French.
This scheme provides interactive teaching materials covering a wide variety of topics (including cross-curricular topics) with all instances of the foreign language pre-recorded using a native speaker. The lessons are fun and interactive and include songs, stories and games.
