Intent
To maximise the outcomes for every child so that they know more, remember more and understand more, becoming healthy, independent and responsible members of a society who understand how they are developing personally and socially; learning about rights and responsibilities and appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society.
1Decision
We follow the 1decision programme for Relationship and Health Education from when children join our school in Reception, all the way through school to Year 6.
The content follows a 21st century approach to personal, social and health education and supports social, moral, spiritual and cultural development as well as safeguarding.

What does 1decision cover?
The 1decision resources support the new statutory subjects of Health Education and Relationship Education. The modules incorporate a variety of topics, from staying safe, staying healthy, puberty, managing feelings and emotions, and more. As children progress through school, they build upon topics previously covered to learn about them in greater detail and at an age appropriate level.
