Our Reading Spine
Our Reading Spine is a core set of books that create a living library inside a child’s mind: a store of classics and essential reads that help children engage at a deeper level and enter the world of the story, fostering a love of reading throughout their time at primary school.
The books on our reading spine are shared as whole-class readers to ensure that every child can enjoy them, and they are also core texts within our English curriculum. We review our spine regularly to ensure that it continues to reflect the children’s interests, new publications, older publications not yet explored, and any changes made to our curriculum.
